Far be from me to hate on the New Yorker magazine – actually, it ain’t that far. The key question: “Who do rich white people like more – Snoop Dogg or the Pussycat Dolls?” Rich people like pimps because they like ho’s. Most rich people are men (at least according to Forbes’ hit list) – especially when you roll through Cipriani’s. And why do rich MEN people like ho’s? The story goes that ho’s are not paid to sleep with you, they’re paid to leave in the morning. The Pussycat Dolls are not ho’s – they’re just entertainers. Snoop D-O-double G, however, is part of the Girls Gone Wild empire. Pimpin’ may not be easy or ethical, but it is adored at Cipriani’s.Is that politically correct? Phuk no. Is that how the economics work? Most definitely.

I can’t say whether or not rich Black folk prefer Snoop Dogg to the Pussycat Dolls, but I do know how to find out.

Actually, I think you’re hating New York Magazine, not The New Yorker. I’m not sure if that matters, and, coincidentally, The New Yorker weighs in on similar issues this very week. Nick Paumgarten offers the New Yorker readership this, re. Imus, “Snoop Dogg, carefully parsing the application of “ho,” distanced himself and his rapper peers from the I-man. ‘We’re not talking about no collegiate basketball girls,’ he told MTV News. ‘We’re talking about ho’s that’s in the hood that ain’t doing shit, that’s trying to get a nigga for his money. These are two separate things.’” Thus making it OK for rich white men to continue to like Snoop Dogg . . .

LOL. Thanks. Nice catch. I see you’ve cornered the market on hating the New Yorker. That’s a great quote because aside from all of the political feelings that folks have, the real issues are the feminization of poverty, and paradigms of success for women that are contingent on male wealth.
That’s really problematic. And women who embrace that paradigm are not merely “in the hood.” Shiiiit, you can see them every week on ABC-TV in “The Bachelor.” Prime time prostitution is all the rage.
The paradox of “the John” though is that often his entree to the world of attractive women is bought – and that same key becomes an object of disdain when women actually focus on that money. So, you’re a baller/shot caller/tricked out performer trying to recoup on a cash advance without a song and dance – and you’re spending money left and right – but you’re actually BUTT ASS ugly – and everyone in your circle is there because you are buying…
Now, who’s the ho?
Bottom line, ugly ass johns with fat wallets and the need to compensate can all rekanyze one another regardless of race. Thanks again.

“Prime time prostitution” is right! Only difference is they’re not nappy-headed, just blonde or brunette.
“PussyCat Dolls aren’t hoes” — they just dress like the ones I see walking up & down Main St. @ 2:25am.
Finally, it’ll be a sad day when “Behold a lady” is the caption below a Smithsonian exhibit with a picture of the winner of VH1’s “Charm School”.
